Grozna vijest o Mateju. RIP Matej.

Mislim da ima jako puno novih stvari koje su se promijenile u paraglidingu a kojima se gotovo nista nezna. Ivica zna jer je bio na APPI radionici, a ja jer drzim jednu trenutno u USA.
Na ljeto sam u Hr pa nebi bilo lose organizirati jednu radionicu za pilote koje se ticu sigurnosti.
Do tada tekxt koji sam slao na Newsletter nasih ucenika SIV-a.

SIV Important Safety UPDATE

Hello to everyone,

This email you are receiving as you attended our SIV course at one point of the time and we believe that you should be updated with new discoveries in paragliding regarding safety.
As the paragliding evolves, equipment gets better but maybe not so safe, there are some important points that I will share with you and that maybe we were either teaching differently or we did not mention and I find them really important so please read carefully. The equipment in recent years changes and there are some very important issues to be learned.

Point 1. Never but I mean NEVER exit any maneuvers holding 5-25% of the brake. This is super dangerous and you can fall into the sail. So HANDS UP and then when the glider is above you or a bit in front start to catch the pitch.
On the advanced courses that we will be offering in the future or APPI workshop you will learn why as it is too complicated to explain here.

Point 2. If you have higher EN-B glider with shark nose it is important when exiting deep stall (perdida) to completely put the hands up next to the pulleys as the modern rigid gliders don’t want to go out of stall.

Point 3. Whatever maneuver you are making always have hands close to the risers and not spread.

Point 4. If you are flying pod harness in any collapse, or extreme maneuver always put your legs below the harness IMIDIATELY.

Point 5. Strong pitch needs strong input on the brake. Don’t be shy; it is dangerous to be shy.

Point 6. No matter what input on the brakes you make, you always release soft.

Point 7. Reserve should be connected to the bridles always with maillon and never direct. SUPER IMPORTANT. SUPER IMPORTANT! It can save you your life.

Point 8. Reserve should always be shorter than the paraglider to avoid entanglement.

Point 9. If you have old reserve you should install shock absorber.

Point 10. NEW! In STALL you throw reserve horizontally on the side or a bit down. Look, reach, pull, bring reserve to you and then throw really strong to the side and not up as thought before.

Point 11. Enter into spiral fast and not slow. This will stop the paraglider entering into lock spiral. Slow enter can put you in locked spiral. If in locked spiral pull hard on the brakes and if that does not work throw the reserve.

Point 12. In SAT rotation you always throw reserve to the outer trailing edge over the lines! This can save your LIFE. Look, reach pull, check where to throw and then throw. Otherwise your reserve will go into the lines.

Point 13. If you have reserve connected to the main carabineers (front container) than for the neutralizing the glider you will be able to do it only with the brakes as you will rotate 180 after deployment. No chance for pulling C lines.

Point 14. You are never too low to pull the reserve and never hesitate if you have a problem. There are 4 situations when you pull it immediately. Come to our advanced courses of XC, SIV or Advanced Pilot and you will learn it.

Point 15. It is better to fly without the reserve than with the one that does not work! Make regular inspections of your reserve every year for normal reserve and 2 times per year for light reserves.

Be safe, fly smart and you will be safe.

Extra za pilte koji lete Niviuk Drifter. Ziper mora biti osloboden u dijelu rezerve. Znaci stavis cifer i kad zavrsis sa ciferm nacnes dio cifera da se brze otvori, jer ti se moze desiti da rezerva ne ide van.

BTW ona publikacija u XC Magu o zatvorneim sjedalicama i glajdu je takva prljava laz.

Smatram da nije problem u teoriji kako riješit nepoželjne situacije.
Svi to već znamo jako dobro. Svi gledamo YT, razgovaramo s iskusnijima, pratimo SIV reporte.
Možda je problem u zajednici koja podržava pomicanje vlastitih granica u nedogled.


Nego Hrga, koga bi ti poslušao dok si bio mlad, entuzijastčan i nabrijan ???
Tko ti je mogao reć, Hrga, taj comp glider, trenutno nije to za tebe ???


Nemoj reć da si bio superman i sve hendlao kak treba. Tad si jedino imao jako jako puno srece da su sve situacije prošle bez posljedica. Ništa drugo.
Danas si pilot koji zna razlikovat i predvidjet turbuletan zrak. I nadam se da cemo letjet još barem 3-40 godina...

Problem je u krilima koja su vrlo drugacija nego nekada. Vrlo!
Oprema se promijenila, ali obuka i znanje je ostalo isto.
Treba generalno napraviti update u obuci.

Predlazem da kad budem u Hr napravimo APPI radionicu.

Nisam do sada čuo za "shock absorber" kod rezervi.
Nisam puno google-ao, pa ako netko ima kakav link na tu temu za podijeliti...

Ukratko, absorber može smanjiti udarnu silu kod pada ili, u našem slučaju, otvaranja rezerve do 25%.
Ne znam kak utječe na brzinu otvaranja rezerve. Bio bi mi logično da ga malo produži, ali pitanje je koliko.

onda za one koji ne znaju - screamer je zapravo slabo zašivena gurtna, spaja se na svakom kraju s karabinerom. Napravljena je za slaba osiguranja u stijeni ili ledu gdje bi veći udar mogao iščupati osiguranje. Kada dođe do većeg opterećenja, šavovi polako počinju pucati i time absorbiraju punu silu.

Neke rezerve to imaju na gurtni, vecinom stare. Najbolja fora kad pitas lika jel bacana rezerva a on kaze nikad a ono svi savovi puknuti.
