BRUCE GOLDSMITH DESIGN 2014
It is only February and this year has already been too busy for us, we haven’t even had one moment to tell you about what we have made for you. Between test flying every day and designing every night we have managed to finish the EN-B BASE (s, m, ml), produce life-saving reserve parachutes, and make a really cool new harness.

BASE (EN/LTF - B)
Reach for the clouds

Years of development and countless prototypes have yielded the absolute best high EN-B rated sport paraglider we can imagine. After perfecting every manoeuvre for certification both Bruce and Ant shed a little tear as they handed over their wings to the testing house, never to be flown again. “It felt like tearing off a limb. This paraglider had become an extension of my arms, it moved and turned without me having to think,” explained Ant. “Now almost anyone can experience this connection, and you’ll never have to amputate it!”
Bruce put his ‘all’ into this high performing EN-B rated paraglider. The BASE carefully treads that thin line of maximum safety and impressive performance. Bruce Goldsmith Handling, a unique nose design and Cord Cut Billow all make the BASE into a great package of stability and performance.
New BGD Snaplocks will be fitted on all EN-B BASE paragliders. They are lightweight compact attachments that effortlessly connect brakes to the risers with a small focused magnet inside the catch and an internal locking system that holds the handle in every direction except down toward the pilot. This unique design feature means the handles don’t fall off while kiting, packing, or performing manoeuvre. The BGD Snaplock system solves many of the problems associated with press-studs and magnets that every pilot faces.
The EN-B BASE medium size (75-95kg) is now in stock, the small (60-80kg) and medium-large (88-108kg) size will be in stock soon. We will get the large (100-120kg) done as soon as humanly possible.
OOPS RESERVE
You only have to say it once
Designed for absolute protection and performance, we believe our Oops reserve parachute systems are the most reliable and safest reserves around. They are tested to the highest possible standard because we don’t want to have to think twice when we really need to use it. “If it’s test flying or teaching flying courses I demand the very best reserve parachute possible. As a family man, I wont risk anything especially not my plan-B and neither should you.” – Bruce
The Oops reserve parachute is a hand-thrown emergency pull-down apex parachute canopy manufactured at the highest possible standard with the use of CNC cutting machines and the best quality materials we could find. We have put together 4 convenient sizes encompassing almost every pilot: The Oops is designed for a maximum take-off weight of 90kg, 110kg, 135kg, and the lightweight tandem version for 210kg. It has a max. sink rate of 5,5 m/s.
We highly recommend always flying with an Oops reserve but please, try not to use it.
Oops Weight Payload(max) Area
90 1.4kg 90kg 24.0m2
110 1.7kg 110kg 29.2m2
135 2.0kg 135kg 35.8m2
BI 2.8kg 210kg 55.8m2
SNUG HARNESS
Fits like a glove

The Snug paragliding harness is our recreational harness suitable for all types of pilots and all types of flying. Bruce loves flying it XC, Ant takes it tumbling, and Tyr grabs it for an easy sledge ride down to the beach. Weighing only 3.5kg in the medium size, it is a stripped down, versatile harness that performs well in every discipline. If you only want one harness for all your aerial antics this should be it.
The semi-cross brace system allows the pilot to tighten or loosen the chest strap depending on how much feedback and authority they want.
An EN-certified lightweight foam protector/back protection guards against mishaps on takeoff and in the air.
Tucked neatly away under the seat is our EASY EXIT reserve system. It is a reliable and accessible design that releases the reserve really easily when you need it but holds the reserve really well when you don’t need it.
A clean aerodynamic shape means this harness won’t slow you down.
The Snug harness will be available in the vibrant Sulphur (yellow/blue) and Neon (red/black) color schemes.
