Working for UP

We're looking to expand our HQ staff with two motivated and skilled persons:
Test pilot:

To supplement our R&D team we're looking for no less than an outstanding paraglider equilibrist, to work full- or part-time out of the UP HQ in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Responsibilities include

• Comparative flights

• Check flights

• Close cooperation with our chief designer Franta Pavlousek

A test pilot has an acute sense for the effects of even minor changes to line configuration and trim, and the ability to communicate and transfer the knowledge gleaned, in English, to the other members of the team. In order to make this position full-time applicants should be prepared to work in the service department as well, especially when the weather is not cooperating
Service colleague:

Our service department takes care of bi-annual checks for the German market, and general checks and repairs for UP wings from all over the world. To supplement our current team we are on the lookout for a part- or full-time colleague with the desire to work with repairs, maintenance, reserve repacks and checks. Experience from similar positions is welcome but no prerequisite. The position includes some shipping assignments as well.

Applicants should be licensed paraglider pilots and interested in learning the ropes - the right applicant could land a job combining paraglider test work with maintenance (see above).
