Skywalk is the first manufacturer to present its harness for X-Alps athletes. In addition to team pilots Paul Guschlbauer (A 1) and Ivan Colás (ESP), Stephan Gruber (A 3) and Manuel Nübel (D 4) have also selected the ultra-light harness RANGE X-Alps.

For the 7th edition of the Red Bull X-Alps, skywalk has developed a completely new generation of ultra-light equipment. While details of our X-Alps glider are still a secret, we presented our official harness at the Thermik trade fair in Germany a full four months before the start of the race.

The RANGE X-Alps is available with an optional LTF and EN certified protector and integrated reserve, and weighs less than 1000 grams! The foam protector is removable. Certification is complete.
In addition to the weight savings, the RANGE X-Alps has been designed to meet the special requirements of the world’s toughest Hike & Fly competition. The harness’s hammock principle, borrowed from our series RANGE AIR harness, offers excellent comfort even on long, strenuous flying days. Air intakes inflate the fairing behind the pilot, resulting in perfect aerodynamics. Additional features include super-quick entry, uncomplicated handling and storage compartments for poles, clothing, a lunch bag and electronic gear.
The RANGE X-Alps will be available on a limited basis in the second half of 2015 after the Red Bull X-Alps and will include additional fine-tuning based on the feedback of the athletes.
