Advance and Nova to work together

Two leading manufacturers, Nova and Advance, have decided on close strategic cooperation in development and production. Both companies will retain their independence, and the long-established Advance and Nova brands will continue in the market. The synergic advantages of this cooperation will strengthen development potential for both partners, and result in even better products for pilots.

Combining forces and using synergy
This type of cooperation is completely new in the paraglider field, and primarily combines the strengths of two leading paraglider manufacturers. Nova and Advance both take it for granted that demands on a paraglider manufacturer will continue to increase in all areas. This partnership opens new possibilities for strengthening the professional nature of both businesses. The extra advantages gained by working together in future will lead to still better wings, harnesses and flying equipment, to the direct benefit of pilots.

Cooperation in development and production
In recent years Advance and Nova have both made their marks on development in the paraglider field, with harnesses as well as wings. Both businesses have very similar visions and concepts as far as the future of the sport of paragliding is concerned. Each development team will retain its individual personality, but in future will seize the advantages to be gained by concerted development, the use of available analysis tools and an exchange of detailed know-how. The capacities of the companies’ own production facilities in Hungary and Vietnam will be jointly used and coordinated: this will enable greater flexibility, and an ability to absorb production demand peaks.

Nova and Advance continue to exist as brands
This cooperation is to strengthen both companies. Advance and Nova have been recognisable market brands from the beginning, established since the end of the 1980s. The two companies, based in Thun (Switzerland) and Terfens (Austria) will remain 100% stand-alone. Company model series, marketing and sales activities are to remain completely separate
